The end of an era

My return to New York -- and proper internet connectivity -- has occasioned some terrible news. Most unexpectedly (to me at least), Miss Snark has announced her retirement from the blogosphere. This is nothing short of a tragedy for the thousands of wannabe writers that tuned in every day to read the wisdom of Her High Snarkiness. We all owe her a debt of gratitude, but I'll bet at least a couple of writers out there owe her more than that. If my schooling on how to hone a sharper hook is anything to go by, there are at least a few query letters out there that got a call back they would not otherwise have earned.
