Cultural sensitivity

It was on again last night: the commercial that nearly made me fall off my seat the first time I saw it.

Apparently there's a new show coming to the CBC called "Little Mosque on the Prairie: Small town Canada with a Muslim flavour". Sounds like Canada's multi-culturalism budget at work, doesn't it? A way to reach out to a minority community that is feeling increasingly beleaguered in a country famous for cultural tolerance and sensitivity.

The slogan for this new little gem of the CBC?

"Because not all Muslim TV is made in secret cave locations."

Are you KIDDING me?
